Natural Habitat
Often found indoors in dry, dusty areas like corners, basements, and attics, as well as outdoors in woodpiles and hollow trees.
Diet & Feeding
They are generalist predators feeding on other insects such as bed bugs, earwigs, carpet beetles, sowbugs, and spiders.
Behavior Patterns
Nymphs intentionally camouflage themselves by covering their sticky bodies with dust, lint, and sand to act as ambush predators. They are active primarily at night.
Risks & Benefits
Benefits: They act as natural pest control by eating other household pests. Risks: While they do not seek out humans, they can deliver a very painful bite if handled or threatened.
