Found in the crypts (crevices) of the palatine tonsils in the human mouth.

N/A - Formed from accumulated debris, including food particles, dead cells, mucus, and bacteria.

These form slowly over time as debris hardens and calcifies within the tonsil crypts. They are often dislodged by coughing or eating.

Risks: Can cause chronic bad breath (halitosis), sore throat, difficulty swallowing, or ear pain. Generally harmless but annoying. Benefits: None.
