Behavior Patterns
Nocturnal and elusive; they emerge at night to feed and hide during the day. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis through five nymphal stages, requiring a blood meal to molt to the next stage.
Risks & Benefits
Risks include itchy skin rashes, psychological distress, and potential allergic reactions. They are not known to transmit diseases to humans. There are no ecological benefits to their presence in human environments.
