Bed Bug

Found in crevices, mattresses, bed frames, and furniture in residential and hotel settings worldwide.

Obligate hematophages (blood feeders) primarily targeting humans, but also feeding on birds and other warm-blooded animals.

Nocturnal and elusive, they emerge from hiding spots at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult).

Risks include itchy skin reactions, allergic responses, and psychological distress. While not known to transmit diseases, they are significant household pests.
