Siphonaptera (order)
- Order & Family
- Order: Siphonaptera, Family: Pulicidae

- 1.5 mm to 5 mm in length
Natural Habitat
Typically found in carpets, upholstery, pet bedding, and floor cracks where organic debris accumulates.
Diet & Feeding
Scavengers that feed on organic debris, particularly 'flea dirt' (dried blood excreted by adult fleas).

Larvae are photophobic (avoid light) and move deep into fibers or crevices. They undergo three larval stages before spinning a cocoon to pupate.
