Bed Bug

Human dwellings, specifically cracks in bed frames, mattresses, and furniture.

Hematophagous (obligate blood-feeders), primarily on humans.

Nocturnal parasites that hide during the day and emerge at night to feed. They are attracted to warmth and carbon dioxide.

Risks include itchy skin welts, secondary infections from scratching, and psychological distress. They are not known to transmit diseases to humans.
