Natural Habitat

Diet & Feeding
Omnivorous scavenger that consumes almost anything including human food scraps, grease, glue, toothpaste, and soap.
Behavior Patterns
Primarily nocturnal and highly social. They reproduce rapidly, with females carrying egg cases (oothecae) until just before hatching. They prefer tight crevices due to their thigmotactic nature.
Risks & Benefits
Significant indoor pest and health risk. They can carry pathogens including Salmonella and E. coli, and their shed skins and droppings are major triggers for asthma and allergies. There are no known benefits in a household setting.
