Behavior Patterns
Nocturnal and elusive. They emerge at night to feed and hide in clusters during the day. Their life cycle includes five nymphal stages, each requiring a blood meal to molt.
Risks & Benefits
Risks include itchy skin welts, allergic reactions, and psychological distress. While they do not transmit diseases, infestations are difficult to eradicate. They offer no known ecosystem benefits in human habitats.
