Casemaking Clothes Moth (Larva)

Typically found indoors in dark, undisturbed areas like closets, basements, and attics where natural fibers are stored.

Feeds on keratin-containing animal products including wool, silk, fur, feathers, hair, and leather.

The larva spins a portable silken case incorporating fibers from its food source. It carries this case while feeding and eventually pupates inside it.

Possesses a risk as a significant structural and textile pest that can cause extensive damage to clothing, rugs, and upholstery; no known benefits to humans.
