Behavior Patterns
The larva constructs a protective silk case covered in sand, dust, and debris. It can crawl with its case and move by poking its head out from either end. It eventually pupates inside this case.
Risks & Benefits
Generally considered a minor household pest; they can damage natural fiber clothing and carpets, but they do not pose a direct health risk to humans or pets.
