Tinea Pellionella (Case-bearing Clothes Moth)

Indoor environments primarily residing in closets, drawers, and under furniture where natural fibers are stored.

Larvae feed on keratins found in natural fibers like wool, fur, silk, feathers, and hair.

Larvae construct and live inside a portable silken case incorporating debris. They are photophobic and prefer dark, undisturbed areas. Adults do not feed.

Significant textile pest that can damage carpets, clothing, and upholstery. They provide no direct benefit to the indoor ecosystem.
