Natural Habitat

Opportunistic feeders that prefer sweets and honeydew from aphids, but will also eat protein-based items like dead insects.
Behavior Patterns
Known for their erratic, fast movements ('running') when disturbed. They form large, multi-queen colonies and frequently move nesting sites to follow food or moisture sources.

They do not sting or cause structural damage, but they are significant nuisance pests in households because they are difficult to see and can contaminate food supplies.
