Feeds on fungi, mold, organic detritus, dander, skin flakes, and decaying organic matter.

Thrives in warm, humid conditions. Often gathers in large numbers around moisture sources like bathroom sinks, kitchens, or damp substrates.

They do not bite humans or transmit diseases, but high concentrations can trigger respiratory allergies, asthma, or skin irritation in sensitive individuals.
