Natural Habitat
Typically found indoors in dry, dusty areas like basements, attics, and corners; also found outdoors in trees and shrubs.
Diet & Feeding
Carnivorous and predatory; hunts other small arthropods like bed bugs, flies, termites, lacewings, earwigs, and woodlice.
Behavior Patterns
As a nymph, it covers its sticky body with dust, lint, and debris to camouflage itself from predators and prey. They are nocturnal hunters and move with slow, stop-and-go motions.
Risks & Benefits
They are beneficial predators that control pest populations (including bed bugs). However, they can deliver a very painful bite to humans if handled or threatened, which may cause significant swelling.
