Behavior Patterns
Nocturnal and elusive; they emerge at night to feed and hide during the day. They have five nymphal stages requiring blood meals to molt and can live for several months without feeding.
Risks & Benefits
Risks include physical reactions such as itchy welts, allergic reactions, and significant psychological distress (insomnia/anxiety). They are not known to transmit diseases to humans but are considered a major indoor pest infestation risk.
