They are weak fliers that often crawl or take short, hopping flights. They are most active at night and are frequently seen resting on walls near plumbing fixtures.
Risks & Benefits
They are considered a nuisance pest but do not bite or transmit diseases to humans. They are beneficial in the sense that their larvae help break down organic matter in sewage systems.
