Behavior Patterns

They are highly mobile and form multiple small colonies. They are known for their erratic, jerky movements when disturbed and have translucent abdomens and legs that make them difficult to see.

Risks & Benefits

They are primarily a nuisance pest in households; they do not sting and their bite is rarely felt. They can contaminate food supplies but also act as scavengers in the ecosystem.
