Land Slug

Moist, shaded environments such as gardens, under rocks, logs, and leaf litter.

Herbivorous or detritivorous; consumes decaying organic matter, fungi, and live plant tissues.

Nocturnal; moves via muscular contractions of the foot and secretes protective mucus.

Can be a pest in gardens; serves as a decomposer and food source for birds and amphibians.
