Behavior Patterns
Nymphs often accumulate debris, such as cast skins or fecal matter, on their backs for camouflage. They undergo five molts before becoming winged adults.
Risks & Benefits
They are primarily garden pests that cause stippling (yellow spotting) on leaves; while they can bite humans if they land on skin, the bite is minor and they do not transmit diseases.
