Natural Habitat

Behavior Patterns
They are highly mobile and photophilic. When bird hosts leave the nest, mites migrate in large numbers into buildings seeking a new blood meal.

Risks include skin irritation, intense itching, and 'creeping' sensations on the skin; they do not transmit diseases to humans but cause significant psychological distress and dermatitis.
