Bed Bug

Indoor environments, primarily in cracks and crevices near sleeping areas (mattresses, bed frames, furniture).

Obligate hematophagous (blood-feeders), primarily targeting humans but also other warm-blooded animals.

Nocturnal and elusive; they hide during the day and emerge at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult).

Risks include itchy bites, allergic reactions, secondary skin infections, and significant psychological distress; they are not known to transmit diseases to humans.
