Natural Habitat

Behavior Patterns
Mainly nocturnal; they emerge at night to feed and hide during the day. They progress through five nymphal stages, requiring a blood meal to molt between each.
Risks & Benefits
Risks include itchy skin welts and allergic reactions from bites, as well as significant psychological distress and sleep deprivation; they are not known to transmit diseases to humans. They offer no ecological benefits in domestic environments.
