Bed Bug

Human dwellings, specifically cracks and crevices near sleeping areas such as mattresses, bed frames, and headboards.

Obligate hematophages (blood-feeders), primarily targeting humans but also feeding on other warm-blooded animals.

Nocturnal insects that emerge at night to feed; they are experts at hiding and can survive for several months without a blood meal.

While not known to transmit diseases to humans, their bites can cause allergic reactions, secondary skin infections from scratching, and significant psychological distress and insomnia.
