Bed Bug

Indoor environments, specifically within crevices of mattresses, bed frames, furniture, and baseboards near sleeping areas.

Obligate hematophage; they feed exclusively on the blood of warm-blooded animals, primarily humans.

Nocturnal parasites that emerge at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult) and can survive months without a meal.

Risks include itchy allergic reactions, skin rashes, and psychological distress. While they do not transmit diseases, they are considered a significant public health pest and are difficult to eradicate.
