Bed Bug

Found primarily in human dwellings, typically in cracks and crevices, mattresses, bed frames, and upholstered furniture.

Obligate hematophages, feeding almost exclusively on human blood, though they may bite other mammals or birds.

Nocturnal parasites that hide during the day and emerge at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult) and require a blood meal to molt.

Risks include allergic reactions to bites, skin rashes, and psychological distress. They are not known to transmit diseases to humans but are significant household pests.
