Natural Habitat

Indoor environments, particularly in closets, drawers, or under furniture where protein-based fibers are present.

Diet & Feeding

Larvae feed on keratins found in natural fibers like wool, silk, hair, feathers, and fur. They also consume dust and lint.

Behavior Patterns

The larva spins a silken case covered with fibers of its food source for camouflage. It remains inside this case as it feeds and crawls. They prefer dark, undisturbed areas and avoid light.
