Natural Habitat

Behavior Patterns
They are highly active crawlers that migrate away from abandoned nests in search of a new host; they are most active during the spring and early summer.
Risks & Benefits
Risks include intense itching, skin irritation, and dermatitis in humans. They cannot survive long-term on human blood and do not typically transmit diseases to humans, but can be a significant nuisance and source of stress.
