Natural Habitat

Diet & Feeding
Obligate hematophages, meaning they feed exclusively on animal blood, primarily human blood.
Behavior Patterns
Mainly nocturnal, emerging at night to feed while hosts are asleep. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult) and can survive for months without a blood meal.
Risks & Benefits
They do not known to transmit diseases, but their bites can cause allergic reactions, skin rashes, and psychological distress. They are considered a significant household pest and have no ecological benefits in a domestic human environment.
