German cockroach

Primarily indoor human dwellings, specifically in warm, humid areas like kitchens and bathrooms.

Omnivorous scavenger; eats food scraps, grease, starches, glue, and even hair or soap.

Nocturnal and highly reproductive; females carry egg cases (oothecae) until just before hatching. They prefer dark crevices during the day.

Significant domestic pest. Risks include spreading pathogens (Salmonella, E. coli), triggering asthma and allergic reactions through shed skin and droppings. No significant benefits in human environments.
