Natural Habitat
Typically found indoors in dry, dusty areas like basements, attics, and corners, or outdoors in bird nests and leaf litter.
Diet & Feeding
Carnivorous predator. It feeds on small arthropods including bed bugs, carpet beetles, termites, and earwigs.
Behavior Patterns
Nymphs practice camouflage by covering their sticky bodies with dust, lint, and debris to hide from both prey and predators. They are nocturnal and move relatively slowly unless attacking.
Risks & Benefits
Benefits the ecosystem by acting as natural pest control for indoor insects. While not aggressive toward humans, they can deliver a painful bite like a needle prick if handled or threatened; however, they do not transmit diseases.
