Natural Habitat

Typically found indoors in dry, dusty areas like basements, attics, and corners, or outdoors in bird nests and leaf litter.

Diet & Feeding

Carnivorous predator. It feeds on small arthropods including bed bugs, carpet beetles, termites, and earwigs.

Behavior Patterns

Nymphs practice camouflage by covering their sticky bodies with dust, lint, and debris to hide from both prey and predators. They are nocturnal and move relatively slowly unless attacking.

Risks & Benefits

Benefits the ecosystem by acting as natural pest control for indoor insects. While not aggressive toward humans, they can deliver a painful bite like a needle prick if handled or threatened; however, they do not transmit diseases.
