Size: 3mm to 5mm (approximately 1/8 to 3/16 inch)

Natural Habitat
Open fields, gardens, and grasslands; often found on weeds and various agricultural crops. They frequently seek shelter indoors during extreme temperatures or drought conditions.
Diet & Feeding
Mostly seeds and plant juices; they use piercing-sucking mouthparts to feed on a wide variety of weeds and plants.
Behavior Patterns
Active during the day; they can occur in large numbers (swarms) particularly when their preferred host weeds dry up. They are attracted to light and often enter homes through small cracks around windows and doors.
Risks & Benefits
They are nuisance pests that do not bite humans, transmit diseases, or cause structural damage. While they can damage some crops if present in huge numbers, they are primarily an annoyance when invading indoor spaces.
