Nocturnal and fast-moving; shuns light; known for a wiggling motion that resembles a swimming fish; can live up to eight years.

Harmless to humans and pets as they do not bite or spread disease; however, they are household pests that can cause minor damage to books, wallpaper, and cotton/linen fabrics.
