Cat Flea (or Dog Flea)

Found on domestic and wild mammals, particularly dogs and cats, as well as in carpets, bedding, and pet resting areas.

Adults feed exclusively on the blood of mammals and birds.

Wingless insects known for powerful jumping abilities, using hind legs to leap onto hosts. They undergo complete metamorphosis (egg, larva, pupa, adult).

Risks include painful, itchy bites, transmission of tapeworms, and potential anemia in severe infestations on pets. They offer no direct benefits to humans and are considered common household pests.
