Natural Habitat
Typically found outdoors on grasses, clovers, and other plants. They frequently invade homes during the spring and fall, often appearing around windowsills on the sunny side of buildings.

Plant feeders that suck the juices from grasses, clover, and approximately 200 other types of garden plants.
Behavior Patterns
They are active during cooler weather in spring and fall. When they invade homes, they do so in large numbers but do not reproduce indoors. They are known for leaving a distinct red stain when crushed due to their pigmentation.
Risks & Benefits
Risks: They are nuisance pests that can stain fabrics, curtains, and walls red if squashed. They do not bite or transmit diseases to humans or pets. Benefits: Minimal, primarily playing a small role in the food web as prey for other mites and insects.
