Natural Habitat

Behavior Patterns
Adults are active from late June through early August; they are nocturnal and attracted to lights. They spend the day burrowed in the soil or hidden in foliage.
Risks & Benefits
Considered a significant pest as larvae can damage turfgrass and nursery crops. Not harmful to humans as they do not bite or sting.
