Bed Bug

Primarily indoor human environments, residing in cracks, crevices, mattress seams, and upholstered furniture.

Obligate hematophagy, meaning they feed exclusively on the blood of warm-blooded animals, primarily humans.

Nocturnal insects that emerge at night to feed. They undergo hemimetabolous development (egg, nymph, adult) and can survive for several months without a meal.

A significant public health pest. While not known to transmit diseases, their bites cause itching, allergic reactions, and psychological distress. They are difficult and expensive to eradicate from homes.
