Indian Meal Moth Larva

Found worldwide in residential and commercial pantries, food storage areas, and grain processing facilities.

Feeds on a wide variety of dry goods including cereals, flour, cornmeal, pasta, nuts, dried fruits, birdseed, and pet food.

Larvae spin silken webs over food sources as they feed, often leaving behind cocoons and frass. They may crawl away from their food source to walls or ceilings to pupate.

Considered a major pest of stored products; they contaminate food with webbing and waste, though they are not known to transmit diseases to humans.
