Green Lacewing Larva (Junk Bug)

Gardens, agricultural fields, and wooded areas where aphids are present

Predatory; primarily consumes aphids, mites, scale insects, and other small soft-bodied insects

Known for camouflaging themselves by carrying debris, such as dust, lichen, or the hollowed-out remains of their prey, on their backs to hide from predators

Highly beneficial to ecosystems and gardens as a natural pest control agent; can occasionally nip human skin if handled, causing minor irritation, but they are not dangerous
