Dust mites do not bite or sting. They absorb moisture from the air and avoid light. Their life cycle takes about a month.

Risks & Benefits

They do not transmit diseases, but their feces and body fragments are significant allergens, causing asthma and allergic rhinitis in susceptible individuals. Ecologically, they are part of the decomposition process indoors.
