Behavior Patterns
The larva builds a portable silken case incorporating fibers from its food source. It carries this case as it feeds and eventually pupates inside it. Adults do not feed.
Risks & Benefits
Considered a significant household pest as they damage clothing, rugs, and upholstery. They pose no direct health risk to humans but can cause expensive property damage.
