Bed Bug

Nests and cracks in human dwellings, particularly in mattresses, bed frames, and upholstered furniture.

Obligate hematophages; they feed exclusively on the blood of warm-blooded animals, primarily humans.

Nocturnal parasites that hide during the day and emerge at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult).

Risks: Causes itchy bites, allergic reactions, and significant psychological distress; they can be very difficult and expensive to eradicate. Benefits: None.
