Bed Bug (fecal spotting trace)

Human dwellings, primarily mattresses, bed frames, box springs, headboards, crevices near sleeping areas, and baseboards.

Obligate hematophages feeding exclusively on the blood of warm-blooded animals, mainly humans.

Nocturnal parasites that hide in tight cracks and seams during daylight. They leave behind small, dark reddish-brown or black fecal spots (digested blood) on sheets, wallpaper, mattress edges, and paper surface seams.

Risks include itchy, red bite welts, allergic reactions, secondary skin infections from scratching, anxiety, and sleeplessness. They do not transmit diseases to humans but cause significant psychological distress and expense to eradicate.
