Behavior Patterns
Larvae construct a portable silken case incorporating debris and food particles, which they carry as they feed. They are often found scaling walls or ceilings when moving to find a dark, quiet place to pupate.

Structural/material risk: Can cause significant damage to expensive clothing, rugs, and upholstery. They pose no direct health hazard to humans or pets but are considered a major domestic pest.
