Natural Habitat
Primarily indoor environments, especially in kitchens and bathrooms near heat, moisture, and food sources.
Diet & Feeding
Omnivorous scavenger; feeds on human food, crumbs, grease, glue, toothpaste, and even other cockroaches.
Behavior Patterns
Nocturnal and highly reproductive; nymphs go through multiple molts and tend to aggregate in tight crevices.
Risks & Benefits
Significant urban pest; can spread pathogens (Salmonella, E. coli), trigger allergies or asthma, and contaminate food. No ecological benefits in a home setting.
