Omnivorous scavengers. They eat almost any organic matter including food scraps, grease, soap, glues, and even wallpaper paste.

Behavior Patterns

They are nocturnal and highly social, often found in aggregations. They have a very high reproductive rate and undergo incomplete metamorphosis from egg to nymph to adult.

Risks & Benefits

Significant indoor pest. They can spread pathogens (like Salmonella and E. coli), contaminate food, and produce allergens that trigger asthma and allergic reactions in humans.
