Green Lacewing Larva (Junk Bug)

Gardens, agricultural fields, and wooded areas where aphids are present.

Predaceous; primarily eats aphids, mealybugs, scales, and other small soft-bodied insects.

Commonly known as "junk bugs" because they camouflage themselves by attaching debris and the husks of their prey to their backs using hooked hairs.

Highly beneficial for biological pest control; however, they may occasionally provide a minor, harmless nip to human skin if handled.
