Behavior Patterns
Nocturnal parasites that hide during the day and emerge at night to feed. They undergo hemimetabolous metamorphosis (egg, nymph, adult) requiring a blood meal to molt.

Risks: Secondary skin infections from itching, allergic reactions to bites, and significant psychological distress/insomnia. Benefits: None; they are considered a domestic nuisance pest.
