Household Casebearer (Case-making Clothes Moth larva)

Typically found inside houses, on walls, or under furniture in warm, humid climates.

Feeds on organic fibers, cobwebs, wool, hair, and dead insects.

The larva constructs a silken flat, spindle-shaped case covered with sand, dust, and debris for protection; it can poke its head out from either end to move or feed.

Does not bite humans or pets but is considered a household pest because it can damage natural fabrics, upholstery, and carpets.
