Carpet Beetle Larva

Indoor environments, frequently found in carpets, upholstery, closets, and baseboards.

Scavengers that feed on natural fibers such as wool, silk, feathers, fur, and dead skin cells.

Slow-moving and often cryptic; they seek dark, undisturbed areas to feed. They undergo complete metamorphosis from egg to adult.

They are major household pests that can damage textiles and clothing. Their larval hairs can cause allergic skin reactions (dermatitis) in some humans.
