Damp, warm areas with high humidity, often found in books, flour, paper, and underneath wallpaper.

Microscopic fungi, mold, starch, and grain-based materials.

They are wingless, fast-running insects that thrive in humid environments. They often appear in large numbers if mold growth is present.

They do not bite humans or pets and are not known to transmit diseases; however, they are considered a nuisance pest and can contaminate stored food products.
